Staying on the Friendly Island! Sent November 27th 2017

McKade said that he baked chicken and Elder Tanner made a cake for Thanksgiving.  Nothing says Thanksgiving like Funfetti!  And Squid apparently.  Check out the photos below.   Hey everyone! So I got my transfer call this week, and I'm staying here on the Friendly Island of St. Martin! That's kind of their saying here, so that's where I got the heading of the email. I'm pretty excited to stay another transfer. Me and Elder Tanner are staying together, but we are getting four new missionaries. One was here a few transfers ago, so he will know his area, and the other three are greenies, haha. It'll be pretty fun I think, and everyone will probably want to work really hard and have fun, so we will hopefully get a lot of good work done this transfer too. I'm excited! I normally write in my planner things that I want to put in my email, but I brought my new planner to the email place today, so I don't remember what I wanted to say, haha. I do want to...

Hey everyone! This week was great, but also felt super short. And this week is the last week of the transfer already! I'll know if I'm staying or going next week, but I think I'll stay. It would be kind of crazy to be in three different areas my first three transfers, but who knows! It would be cool, but I'd also be super happy to stay here for another transfer. I feel like we are just starting to get in the groove of things and making some progress, so it would be nice. But either way, I'm excited to know what will happen!  We had a pretty cool spiritual experience this week that had some sweet miracles involved. On Wednesday we were at an electronics store because Elder Ackley wants to buy a voice recorder, and while we were there, a random guy came up to us and was super happy to find us. It turns out he was here to help fix the internet at the church so we could watch a broadcast of Elder Cook from the Quorum of the Twelve who was in Guadalupe and spe...

Elder Kerr Practicing Teaching Happy Missionaries The St. Martin Elders Not Zone Confernce -- Just a fun P-Day Moment

Zone Conference - Sent Nov. 15th

Hey everyone!  This week was pretty good! The past couple days were a little crazy with flying down to Guadeloupe for zone conference, so my brain is a little fried right now, but I'm doing great. There are only four missionaries on St. Martin right now, which is why we went to Guadeloupe for zone conference, but it was really fun because three of the people in my district at the MTC are there, so I got to see them again which was awesome! And not many people can say that they flew to a different country for zone conference, so that is kind of cool too.  Tuesday  night though we were all a little frustrated, because we felt like we wasted a couple days because we didn't do any proselyting, but then Elder McNaughtan pointed out that it was only wasted if we don't start using the new advice and stuff we learned at Zone conference. They fly us down there because it is so important, and if we learn and grow from it, then those days weren't wasted at all. So hopefully I...

The Great Controversy - Sent Nov. 6th

Hey Everyone! This week was kind of long and slightly disappointing. But we got water! We got it on Monday evening, which was a huge surprise, but super awesome! I'm still so happy about that, even though our shower is about the size of a shoebox, haha. But that's a whole lot better that not having one at out house! Anyway, thanks for all the prayers, I know it helped. We did a ton of contacting and tracting this week, and overall not a lot happened. It was disappointing because even though we worked really hard we didn't have much to show for it at the end of the week. But I guess that is just how it goes sometimes. I have lots of hope for this next week though, it should be really good!  One really interesting thing happened though. We were contacting one street, and someone was coming out of their house as we were walking by, so we stopped and talked to him. He is SUPER 7th day, and talked to us for a while about how you aren't keeping the commandments if ...
