Staying on the Friendly Island! Sent November 27th 2017

McKade said that he baked chicken and Elder Tanner made a cake for Thanksgiving.  Nothing says Thanksgiving like Funfetti!  And Squid apparently.  Check out the photos below.

Hey everyone!

So I got my transfer call this week, and I'm staying here on the Friendly Island of St. Martin! That's kind of their saying here, so that's where I got the heading of the email. I'm pretty excited to stay another transfer. Me and Elder Tanner are staying together, but we are getting four new missionaries. One was here a few transfers ago, so he will know his area, and the other three are greenies, haha. It'll be pretty fun I think, and everyone will probably want to work really hard and have fun, so we will hopefully get a lot of good work done this transfer too. I'm excited!

I normally write in my planner things that I want to put in my email, but I brought my new planner to the email place today, so I don't remember what I wanted to say, haha. I do want to talk about one new investigator though. His name is Duwan, and he is super cool. He is different than a lot of people here because he doesn't have a lot of faith in Jesus Christ, and doesn't believe in the bible, but he want's to know if it is true and asks lots of really sincere questions. We don't get through our whole lesson usually, but the spirit is always so strong. This past lesson with him was the best, because of how strong the spirit was by the end. He was amazed that we could answer all of his questions so well, and asked if God was putting the answers in our heads. I thought about that, and realized that yeah, he was. I of course didn't hear a voice in my head or anything, but I just answered the best I could and the spirit made sure I said what I needed too. It is so cool to see the spirit helping people so much. It really is real, and so important.

Something kind of funny happened this week. I had two different people, call me a clown throughout the week. I guess that is a sign, so maybe I'll join a circus and become a clown after my mission. The one kid was making fun of me when he said it, and it was actually pretty funny, and the other girl saw me juggling and said it, haha. Well, I was practicing juggling earlier today actually, so I'm well on my way to starting a successful clown career. Actually, I think that's an oxymoron.

Well, my email is a little shorter this week, so you're welcome. Unless you're my mom, in that case, sorry. Actually, I don't even know if it is shorter, I don't really pay attention. I hope you all had a great thanksgiving! And have a great week this week too! Work hard, play hard, and do something weird!

Love, Elder Kerr
Look closely.  It says, "In Natural Ink."  Yum!
Looks like they drained the ink.
I would add breading and some deep frying!

There pants are new to us -- very Caribbean!
