A cool abandoned ship we explored on Pday. We ate some escargot this week. It was actually really good. Hey everyone! It's gonna be a little bit of a shorter email this week, because it we didn't do much besides contacting. I got back to Guyane  Wednesday  afternoon, and as I was walking to the stairs to go down to get my suitcase, guess who I saw on the other side of the glass? Elder Anderson and Elder Griffin! We couldn't hear each other through the glass, but we smiled and waved and took pictures and it was awesome! Totally a little miracle in my life from God to make my day. Elder Peterson, my new companion, got here that night. It was kind of weird because it had been a week and a half since anyone had worked in that area, and I'm not super familiar with the area yet, so it was interesting. We pretty much just contacted the whole time and tried to set up more appointments for next week.  We were looking for the house of one of our investigators one da...

Surprise Vacation! Sent May 14th

Hey everyone!    So, this week was the last week of the transfer, and I got a call last Saturday night, so just more than a week ago that I'd have to go to Guadeloupe this week for visa and legalization stuff. I was supposed to leave on Tuesday, and get back Friday. I was a little sad because It was probably my last week with Elder Anderson, and I was missing half of it. But anyway, I left Tuesday and everything was going good. And now I'm gonna insert in a little bit of life advice. If you get an email saying you have an appointment on Wednesday the 10th, but Wednesday is actually the 9th, don't just assume that your appointment is on Thursday the 10th. Double check, because it might actually be on Wednesday. And, just hypothetically of course, the legalization place might be closed from thursday to sunday that week, and so you need to stay until monday to have your appointment. And once you figure that out the first plane back to your area might not be until Wednesda...

I Held Hands With Two Men

We found this costume in a closet at the church. Hey everyone, So there was one thing I really wanted to share about this week..... But I forgot what it was. Whoops, haha. So I'll just explain the heading of this email, and hopefully that other thing will come back to me. I was on exchanges with Elder Jouffray this week, and it was good. We were contacting just before lunch time, and these two guys from English Guiana invited us in, and we taught them a little lesson. I don't know how interested they really were, but they were really nice. And one of them was making chicken curry, and it smelled super good. After the lesson they offered to feed us, so we obviously accepted. Contacts don't randomly offer lunch like that often, so it's too good to pass up. Plus, it smelled really good. They got the food ready for us, and then we asked if we could pray for the food. They said of course, and then just reached their hands out for us to hold during the prayer. So me...

Zone Conference! Sent April 30, 2018

Hey everyone! I'd love to make an excuse for not sending a big email out this week, but I just don't really want to today, haha. But I'll send pictures, so most of you will be perfectly happy anyway, haha. I think I say haha too much in my emails, haha. We went to Martinique for zone conference, and it was great! I got to see a couple elders from my MTC group that I haven't seen in a while, and I also got to see a lot more missionaries that I really like! And I met some new ones too who were also sweet. It was pretty fun. We went contacting a lot with some of the missionaries there, and it was a lot different than Guyane. The people there are a lot more rich and closed off, so it is harder to get people to talk to you. I've literally served in three of the friendliest places in the mission, so I need to enjoy it while I can before I leave. Hopefully I stay here for a while, Because I really love it here. Also, for any of you that care, hopefully I'll be...
