Miracles / Sent March 18, 2019

Hello!

Wow, this week was so awesome! We had so many miracles. It was probably one of the coolest weeks of my whole mission. I'll try to explain some of the stuff that happened so you can understand a little bit. First off, I don't remember if I already said this, but I am kind of in a trio half of the time now. I live with three other missionaries, and one of them works in the office half of the time, but his companion doesn't. So his companion is with me and Elder Newman for half of the week. And when we are together we need to try to cover both of our areas. It is really weird how it is organized, but it just kind of had to be like that this transfer. Anyway, we were all a little frustrated at first because we knew it would be harder to teach all the people we wanted to and to plan and work effectively, but I think that God saw all of our hard work and desire to be obedient and He blessed us because of it.

I won't share everything that happened, but I'll try to share a couple things. One is that as we were leaving a really bad first lesson with someone (He was old and didn't understand anything we were saying), Elder Rytting, the missionary who is with us half of the time, pointed at two houses and suggested we contact them before we go get lunch. So we did, and there were super cool people in both houses! It was awesome!

And another time we were driving to a certain place to go contacting, but while we were driving I felt like I should just stop where I was. But I had already contacted that area like a week earlier, and it didn't make any sense to my to stop. But I had the feeling come again and so I stopped. I told them that I didn't know why I was stopping, but I stopped right next to the house of a lady that I had met before, but never got to teach. We walked over to her house right as she was getting out of her car. She had just come home from work. We said hi, and asked if we could teach her for a little bit, and she said yes! And it was a super good first lesson! It was so cool to see the spirit lead us to her and to the other cool people we contacted.

Overall this week, we invited 5 people to be baptized on a specific date, and they all said yes. We also had five people come to church, and we found five more people to teach. Those are super good numbers for our mission, especially the five people who accepted baptismal dates. I don't think I've ever had five people accept baptismal dates in a transfer, much less a week. I don't want to share that to brag, because it really wasn't us at all. It was all the Lord. He provided so many miracles in order to let that happen. I know that with Him all things are possible. I know that as we do what we can do to accomplish what the Lord asks of us, He will help us, and He will help us in miraculous ways if we need it. I know that He is aware of all of you and loves you all, and He will help you just as much as He helped us as you seek His help. Please turn towards towards the Lord when you need help, He will help you!

Well, that's all for this week. Love you all! Have a great one!

Love, Elder Kerr
