"You're paying for that!" / Sent Sept. 10, 2018
Hello!
Hey, how are you all? I hope you're all doing great! This week was pretty slow, but still good. I guess some weeks are like that. But anyway, something kind of scary and interesting happened this week. We were contacting a lady, and it was actually going pretty good, but she was one of those people who can just talk forever. I'm not kidding, there are some people here who will just talk all day long about n'importe quoi (I'm not really sure how to say that in english, haha. Just basically random stuff that's not important.) Anyway, at the end of the contact she just went off and started talking about so much random stuff about her life and God and her family, and it was good, but she was probably talking for almost 10 minutes straight without letting us say anything. We were standing on her porch, and after a few minutes I started to kind of zone out a little bit and stopped really paying a lot of attention. But then she looked me straight in the eyes, and pointing at me started saying really loud and seriously stuff like "You're going to pay for that! You know what you did, and you know God saw it. You can't hide it, and you will be punished for it!" Well, you better believe that I started paying 110 percent attention to her then. I was so confused because I was literally just standing there and I had no idea what I had done wrong, but she did not look happy. I'd say that those 10 seconds were probably one of the scariest moments of my mission so far. But luckily she just went on with her story, and it turns out that that was something she had said to her son at one poing in time and it was all just part of the story that she was telling. That was a big relief, haha.
That's pretty much all I have to say for this week. We went on an exchange with the zone leaders too, and that was fun. Well, have a great week everyone! You all are awesome! The church is true!
Love, Elder Kerr
The first one is a picture of me soaking wet while it was raining. The second one is a cute little bug we found in our house this week. Unfortunately, that's not the biggest spider I've ever seen in my house on my mission, but it's the second biggest one.
