Hello!

Well, this week was pretty normal. I guess it's normally like that after a baptism. We had a girl on date for this coming Saturday, but it fell through this week, so that was too bad. She still wants to get baptized though, so hopefully we can set another date in a few weeks. And ok, I feel like I need to give an explination on why I teach so many young teenagers. So at the beginning of my mission we did that because people at that age were so open to learning about the gospel and always seemed so promising, but it was always too hard for them to progress, especially when their parents weren't interested, so after some frustrating experiences I decided to only teach people over 16 if their parents weren't interested or they didn't have some other promising connection to the church. But a few zone conferences ago Elder Gonzalas from the 70 and his wife came, and his wife shared her conversion story about how she was baptized when she was 12 and how grateful she was that those missionaries didn't think it was a waste of time to teach a 12 year old girl. And then Elder Gonzolas bore his testimony on that too. So I kind of took that as God telling me to give people a chance before I decide that they are too young. And voila, we baptized a 15 year old last week, and the girl who was on date is 14. So pray for them, they are young, and it will be hard, but they are not too young to get on the covenant path and have the blessing of the gift of the holy ghost at probably thet most vital time for them in their lives.

And for my heading, we went on a really cool hike again this week. We hiked up the volcano. It is one of the longest hikes here that we can do, so we've been planing it for weeks. And we decided to take some cool pictures with the american flag too. It was super windy on top, so that made the pictures cool. But, really, it was SUPER windy at one point. I was almost falling over. And we were in a cloud the whole time, so it was freezing cold. Like, I'm not even kidding, it was probably under 60 degrees or something. Freezing! After that was the first  time I took a hot shower in a long time. I don't normally  take cold showers, but just a comfortable not hot not cold temperature. And I'm sure you were all wondering about that, so you're welcome.

Well, that's all. Hopefully I can get some of these pictures to load today. Have a great week!

Love, Elder Kerr

Pic1: The shirt isn't mine, but the flag and the bandana are. It's amazing how much more patriotic you get when you leave america, haha. Especially when I'm the only American in my district. I've gotta show them who's boss, haha.
Pic2: The view from the hike. Yeah, like I said, we were in the middle of a cloud the entire time. It actually started raining at one point. I'm not sure how it rains on the inside of a cloud, I always thought it just rained underneath clouds. But nope, it can definitely rain inside a cloud. And it can rain hard.
