Exshode vansh. / Sent July 16, 2018

Hey everyone!

This week was pretty good. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I can think of one funny story. I think I've already mentioned our ami (investigator) Raena, but we were teaching her and her sister this past week. They are Brazillian, but grew up here so they speak portugese and French. We were teaching the ten commandments, so we asked them to open up the exodus 20. In french that sounds like exode van. Because they both are brazillian, I guess they grew up reading the bible in portugese, and some of the names are different, so Raena's sister didn't understand where to go in the bible. We said "exode van" a couple times, but she still couldn't understand. Then Raena turned to her and said "exshode vansh" and she understood perfectly, haha. It was so funny. Me and Elder Peterson always make fun of Portugese, how it is just like spanish but with the "sh" sound all over, and it's so true. It sounds so funny.

Also, France won the world cup! Yay! There were some crazy parties in the street for a few hours afterwards, but that's happened after every game they've won, so nothing too new or exciting. I only have one picture of it, but the picture doesn't do it justice. I'll see if I can attach a video too. If not, just know that it was really loud and looked really fun, haha.

That's all I can think of writing for this week. Thanks all of you for your love and support! I love all of you! The church is true!

Love, Elder Kerr
