Don't Pet Mean Dogs / Sent July 23, 2018

Hey everyone!

Hello! We had exchanges this week, and it was pretty good. Our last Mission President started having us bring both the other missionaries into our area for exchanges, so we had Elder Jouffray and Elder Chang koei chang (He's tahitian, not chinese, haha) with us on Friday. It was pretty good. I spent the day with Elder Chang Koei chang, and it was fun. But then I was with Elder Jouffray Saturday morning, and Elder Peterson and Elder Chang koei chang were together. And so what do they do together? They go to almost the exact same place that Elder Peterson's bike got stolen last transfer. Don't worry, they didn't have the bikes, but they did go to one house that had a really mean dog. I guess it didn't look too mean at first, but Elder Chang koei chang tried to pet it, and it bit him. It bit his finger and took his entire fingernail off. Ouch. I guess he just glared at the dog afterwards and it turned around and left, so that's kind of funny, but then they had to go to the hospital. This was about 30 minutes before we were supposed to end the exchange. But they had to be at the hospital for like four hours, and me and Elder Jouffray were trying to cover appointments in both our areas for the afternoon. It was a pretty wild day. 

I'm trying to think of something spiritual for this week, but as fun as knocking doors is, it doesn't make for great spiritual experiences that often, haha. Raena passed her baptismal interview though! She is on date to get baptized this saturday, so I'll talk more about her next week. Wow, I really can't think of anything else that happened this week. A couple weeks ago me and Elder Peterson ate a ton of hot dogs right before starting our fast, and we promised ourselves we'd never eat hot dogs for lunch again after that. Then a few days later we were deep frying a bunch of random food, and it was fun but gross, so we said we'd never do that again either. So naturally we made corn dogs this week, which is just deep fried hot dogs. "Live and don't learn, that's us." If anyone can name that quote, you win. I'm counting on you, Braden, assuming you get to the bottom of this email, haha. Ok, well, that's about all I can think of, but I know this church is true, and that as you make an effort to come closer to Jesus Christ, you will recieve tons of blessings in your life. I've seen that in my life and in the lives of others, and I know it's true. Have a great week everyone! I love you all!
