The 4th of July! Sent July 9, 2018

Cool Guyane tie I got. Hey everyone!  This week was pretty great. It was the 4th of July, so that was awesome! Me and Elder Peterson went to southern fried chicken to celebrate, because it was the most American place here. It's basically KFC but worse. But it was still pretty good in the spirit of America. Also, I bought an American flag bandana a few weeks or months ago, I don't remember, but we taped it over our AC unit, so it was flying in the wind of the AC. And Elder Peterson has Motab's American album, so we were celebrating pretty good. And for Pday today we are gonna do a fourth of july BBQ. I don't know why, but leaving America has really boosted my American pride.  We have been riding the buses here a lot ever since we've been on foot, and normally they work pretty good, but there was a street fair thing  going on this week, so the bus times were different in the morning and we didn't know which buses were coming, or when they would come. This is from a while ago, but it was half way through my haircut. Hey everyone! So, you might notice that you are reading this in an email and not just on a blog. If that's the case, congrats, I decided to start sending these to you as emails. I tried to get everyone who asked, plus a few other random people just for fun, but if you'd like to get these as an email just tell me, and I'll add you to the list. I don't have much to write, but I did break someone's toe. whoops. We play soccer at the church everyweek for a branch/missionary activity thing, and Elder Jouffray decided to play with no shoes on. We kicked the ball at the same time, and all the sudden his pinkie toe was fractured. But it isn't too bad, just pray that it'll heal soon. Sorry I'm writing such a short email this week. I'll try to write a longer one next week. I'll also try to add a few pictures to make up for it. Love you all, and have a great week! ...

They call me beau. / Sent June 25, 2018

Hey everyone!    This week was good. We are getting used to walking, and it's not bad anymore. My feet don't hurt as much at least, haha. I feel like we are meeting lots of people walking though, which is good. Sometimes it is hard because a lesson will fall through, and we'll be in an area that we've already contacted, so it takes a lot longer to get somewhere else to contact. And street contacting isn't always effective, especially when it's raining, haha.     Another thing that makes contacting interesting is the World Cup. We might as well stay home when brazil or france is playing. It's crazy how into football, or I guess soccer, every is here. We literally can't talk to anyone while the game is on. On the other hand, my companion knows a ton about soccer, so when there isn't a game on it is super easy to start conversations with people. Also, I don't know if you know, but Brazil won their game this week, and all the Brazillians her...
