What, you don't speak French? That's great, neither do we. / Sent June 4, 2018

Zone Conference in French Guiana

The Elders in French Guiana -- Every single Elder in the entire country!
Hey everyone

Guess what week it is? It's random detail week! I'm gonna just put random details from my life down, and you're gonna enjoy it. Haha, or not, I guess that part is up to you. Well, get ready, I have no plan, so hopefully I end up writing something worth reading!

I gave myself a haircut this week. It doesn't look too bad if you ask me. I had Elder Peterson clean up the back, but I did the rest!

We had a random stick or two by four thing in our house, and I was using it to point at the map for where we were gonna go. I decided it would be better if there was a little hand carved into the end so it could point better. So I carved it. I don't want to brag or anything, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I'll send some pictures.

I ate crepes for lunch yesterday.

We had two less actives in our area come to church yesterday!

We just found a new internet cafe close to our house, and this is the second week we've emailed at it. There are a bunch of gamers here who are yelling random stuff in chinese, but occasionally they randomly yell english words too. I won't tell you what words they use.

I was biking through a puddle the other day, and my bike got stuck. So I had to walk through the mud puddle with my bike. It was already pouring rain, so it was just funny.

Sometimes we meet people who only speak english, and that's fun. The heading of this email is normally our response.

Sometimes we meet people who only speak spanish or portugese or haitian creole or arabic too. Those people are normally the nicest, but I can only say hi and how are you in most of those languages, so it's a little tricky, haha.

That's about all I can think of for this week, but I'd also just like to end with my testimony that I know that this church is true. Serving a mission has been a huge blessing in my life, and that's because I've been able to come close to Jesus Christ, and help others do the same. The Book of Mormon is true, and if you read it and pray you will feel the peace in your life. I know that that's true. God loves all of you, and he wants you to be happy, so just follow Him and you will be. I love you all too! Have a great week!

Last Zone Conference wit President and Sister Herrington.
