I actually went on a run this week! / Sent Dec. 31, 2019

Hey everyone!

Well, I hope you all had a great Christmas. And a great week after Christmas. I'm sorry that most of you will have to start school and work again soon. I realized that as missionaries we are blessed to not have to go back to work after the vacation because we pretty much never stopped working and didn't really have a vacation. So while my transition was smooth as butter and easy as, um, something easy, your transition might be a little harder. So I'm sorry for that, but you'll all be in my prayers this week, haha.

We did something fun this week that I haven't done in months. We went on a run! Our branch was having a cleaning activity Saturday morning at the church, but the only way we could get there was to walk. Or run. It was only like a 20 minute run, but it still felt super great to be able to run again. Then we got to help clean the church for a while, and then one of my favorite members, President Murat, gave us a ride home afterwards. We told him we wanted to carol to him this week, but we never got the chance because he was on the other side of the island with family the whole week. So he told us we had to sing to him in the car. I told him we didn't have any hymn books, but he had one in his glove box, so we had no way out of it, haha. So we sang him a few songs in his car while he was driving us home, and it was pretty fun, haha.

We also had a cool new ami named Alexandra come to church this week! She is super open to the gospel, and was happy to come to church. She brought her three year old son too, and I think he really liked it when he met a three year old girl in the branch. I think they were the only two kids in primary yesterday, and in the third hour they kept making eye contact and dancing and making weird faces to each other, so I guess it was love at first sight. I just love how the gospel brings people together like that. Also, speaking of the third hour of church, that's not gonna be a thing anymore. I hope you all are as excited as I am to do the new come follow me program thingy and come closer to Christ than ever before! Have a great week!

Love, Elder Kerr
