Land of Apartments / Sent Sept. 24, 2018

Hey everyone!

Wow, this has been a crazy week. Actually, lets see, I contacted, taught some lessons, and contacted some more, so it's actually been pretty normal, haha. But I was doing all those things in a new area with a new companion, so that's fun. And I'm in Point à Pitre now, which is basically a city just full of appartments. It's pretty cool. And it's pretty crazy how different the people are in this new area than my last area. I only moved like fifteen or twenty minutes away by car, but I'm definitely not in the rich neighborhoods anymore, haha. That's good though, it means the people here are way more open to us. It also means lots of people like to yell "les mormons" at us while they drive by in their cars, so that's fun, haha. I'm also with a Tahitian, so I'm learning French better now, and he's pretty fun. He also speaks pretty good english already, so it's pretty easy to ask him questions about French if it's hard to say in French. I'm also definitly getting a new perspective of life from him, haha. He said that he likes bananas, but not the ones here, and when I asked why he said because he prefers picking them from the tree, and he doesn't know where the ones you can buy at the market here come from. Well the ones at the market are sold by people who grow their bananas themselves here in Guadeloupe, and probably the freshest bananas I've ever eaten, haha. I thought that was funny. 

Well, that's all I'll write for today. But I finally sent a picture, so hopefully that makes up for it. My new companion is the one on the bottom right. Have a great week everyone!
