Code Red! / Sent Sept. 17, 2018

Hey everyone!

How are you? I hope you're doing great! This week was pretty interesting. We had hurricane Isaac come, so the government issued a "code red" for pretty much all of thursday, which means nobody was allowed to be outside. I guess it wasn't a hurricane, it was a tropical storm. It was also pretty much the dumbest thing of my entire life. Our doors were open the entire time, and it maybe rained for about 10 minutes total, and had a little bit of wind. I could see blue sky most the time too. Pretty much the only day I could have gone outside and not gotten burned to a crisp this week, and the government told us we couldn't leave the house. So we just sat inside all day looking at the nice weather and thinking about all the good we could be doing if we were allowed to go outside. Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy that nothing happened and that we didn't have to worry about a big storm, but it just seemed like a waste of time because we still had to stay inside. Oh well! On the bright side we did lots of area book contacting, and I read a ton in Jesus the Christ, so that was fun. I also juggled a lot, haha.

Oh, also, guess what? I'm getting transfered again! I'm staying on Guadeloupe, but I'm moving to a different city, and I'll be with a new companion. I think I'm setting some sort of record with how many areas I've been in, haha. I'm moving into my 6th area, and I just barely passed my year mark. Meanwhile Elder Anderson, who started his mission the same day as me, is staying in his second area for another transfer, haha. That just shows me that God really is in charge of transfers, because they make no sense normally until after they happened and you can look back and see how much God blessed you by putting you there. Also, my new companion is Tahitan, so that's sweet! Hopefully I'll learn some good french next transfer.

Well, I guess that's all for this week. Sorry, I made sure to bring my camera to the email place today, but I forgot to bring the converter thing to hook it up to the computer. I'll try to send some next week! Sorry! Just look at Braden's pictures, it's pretty much the same thing, haha. Have a great week everyone!

Love, Elder Kerr
