CHRISTMAS TIME! Sent Dec. 4th

Hello!

I need to come up with a better way to greet all of you. I also say hey everyone or something lame like that. I guess hello is even more lame, but it has an exclamation mark, and I am imagining me saying it all excited like, so hopefully that helps. I'd say bonjour, but I don't want anyone to be confused because they don't understand French.

Well, this email might be a bit shorter than normal, because I can't think of much to write. We worked hard this week and got a few new investigators, and taught some great lessons. I don't know if I've talked about him before, but we have been teaching a 20 year old named D. who is super cool. He definitely needs to pretty much change his whole life if he ever wants to get baptized, but he has great questions, and the spirit is always super strong when we teach him. His faith is growing little by little, and a few lessons ago he said he can recognize the spirit when we teach him, and believes that it's from God! And he came to church this week! He was a little late and tired because he spent most the night at the "Soggy Dollar," haha, but he still liked it. It is really cool to  teach him, because I can see that I'm helping him grow his faith in God, and that it is helping his life, even if he never joins the church. It is fun to see him believe more and more every day, and to start putting effort into it too. And he is just a super awesome guy and fun to talk too.

I can't really think of much else to write about. I'm sure something funny happened this week. Oh yeah! After emailing last week we bought a little christmas tree and some lights and decorations for it. It was so fun!  I am so pumped for Christmas, not just the day, but for the whole month leading up to it. It's so great! Anyway, after we started setting up our tree, we plugged our lights into a converter (We have to do that because the electricity is too strong and will destroy normal american stuff), and they were so cool! They were all different colors and did cool stuff, and it was awesome! But then we had to move them to a different room, and we plugged them in the converter wrong, and the lights totally caught on fire and were destroyed. It was only on fire for a second, and nothing else got burned, but that was a super bummer because they were super broken. But we will buy new ones today! Oh, and I'm not sure if it came across that way, but that was my funny story, haha.

Well, I hope you all have a great week! I encourage all of you to watch the Christmas video on Mormon.org, it is super great. Other than that, keep being awesome and share the Christmas spirit with someone this week!

Love Elder Kerr
